One of the first all-sports college channels around, the Big Ten Network is THE source for turf or hard court action at Michigan, Illinois, Purdue, Ohio State, etc. Not surprisingly, their primary source of programming (and vieworship) revolves around football...with about 40 games broadcast each season. Second in line is basketball with a total of about 65 per year. Given the 15 schools that participate in the Big Ten Network, that's a healthy number of games and for most fans, well worth the cost of the channel (which is usually only found in higher-tier plans).
With regard to original programming, their most popular is Big Ten Tonight, which gives you a quick run-down of all the action across the entire league. In-depth interviews and coverage make it a must watch for most alumni. Other shows such as Big Ten Football Saturday and Big Ten Tailgate ride the heavy popularity of college ball across each of the 15 campuses.
