CBS Sports Network

Founded: June, 2002
Parent Company: CBS Corporation
Tagline: "The 24-Hour Home of CBS Sports"
Website: CBSSportsNetwork.com
Originally launched as the College Sports TV Network (CSTV), CBS acquired it in the late 2000s. The big picture was to transform it into an extension of its national sports coverage and in February 2011, CBS Sports Network was born. Though it still features plenty of college action, its primary niche is in the non big 4 sports, namely PGA, Rugby, Motorsports, Rodeo, Canadian Football League, etc.
With regard to college football, their broadcast-licensed conferences include Conference USA, Mountain West, Atlantic 10, Conference USA and the Patriot League. They also have contracts to cover Army, Navy and varios mid-level College football Bowls. So, on any given Fall Saturday, expect plenty of football action from the conferences above. Throughout the rest of the year, you'll also get plenty of college basketball, hockey and lacrosse. During March Madness, games on this channel are restricted to re-broadcasts from all other networks (CBS, TNT, TBS and truTV). So, nothing live but still cool to be able to catch full game replays.
