Geared towards kids aged 6-15 years old, Disney XD is a fun complement to the main Disney channel and Disney Jr.. They mostly broadcast previous original series from the Disney channel and have created a popular mox of original programming as well. Around since 2009 and taking the place of the now defunct Toon Disney, Disney XD is currently delivered to over 75 million households. With respect to satellite TV, it's available in every DIRECTV plan. On DISH, you'll find it in America's Top 200 and above (the exact same availability as Disney Jr).
As far as programming goes, most of it tends to be animated and live-action. Disney has owned the Marvel franchise since 2009 and over the years you've seen plenty of Marvel on Disney XD: Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. Noawadays, Spider-man is really the only Marvel-related show stil on the channel (most of it has migrated to the streaming service, Disney Plus). Since ABC/Disney also owns ESPN, you'll see some ESPN shorts and kid-geared highlights during the day as well. Overall, pre-teens and those young-at-heart will find plenty to like on Disney XD.
