For starters, America's Top 120 Plus gives you access to the following regional sports networks: Big Ten Network (BTN), Longhorn Network (University of Texas dedicated channel), Pac 12 Network, ACC Network and SEC Network. Individually, each of these high demand college sports channels typically carry a $5-$10/mo licensing fee, so just this pack of 5 could justify the additional $15/mo for the 120+ plan. With regard to America's Top 120+, of the five major plans, it was the last one to be launched by DISH. The need and motivation mostly came from sports fans on the regular 120 plan. DISH was quick to respond to the requests and created a plan that was exactly the same as 120 but with 7 high-demand sports channels... all for a reasonable increase in price. It's been a mainstay ever since. Good example of DISH's responsiveness as a company overall.
