Millions of Americans attend NBA games every year. Whether it's the smell of the court, the roar of the crowd or the high-octane action, it's the pinnacle of round ball action. But as with most sports, if you want to catch it on TV, you're usually restricted to your local team's games (barring national match-ups on ESPN, TNT, etc). People in Atlanta don't get to see Minnesota home games and vice versa. That's where the NBA League Pass steps in - available on both DIRECTV and DISH Network, it gives you access to ALL the action, on and off the court.

Before we jump into the details, ask yourself this: Do you dig the NBA in general? Have you moved but still want to catch ALL your team's games? If you answered yes to either, the NBA League Pass might just be a perfect fit - both DISH and DIRECTV gives you the chance to view up to 40 live games every week from around the country, all via a sleek and seamless interface. Read on for more...

Price

DISH and DIRECTV offer nearly identical deals and have so for a few years now. DISH offers NBA League Pass for $199, or you can split it up into four payments at $49.75.

DIRECTV charges a nearly identical $199.95, with an option to spread it out over five payments of $39.99. That extra month tends to be a bit more convenient for a lot of subscribers.

Take note that about halfway through the season you can usually get a discount. Half-season plans start at just $99 or four payments of $24.75. Not bad considering you get a bit more than half of the games at just a half of the price.

Apps

Phones and tablets have become an integral part of our lives and that convenience has definitely carried over to premier sports plans. Both DIRECTV and DISH give you the option to watch NBA League Pass on all the major devices. Whether you have Apple or Android, all you need to do is download the NBA GameTime App. If not already, head over to NBA's league pass site, create an account and choose either DIRECTV or DISH as your provider. Log in to the app and you're set. So, even on the road, you'll never miss a dunk, triple-double or alley-oop, all in crystal-clear (and stable) HD-streaming quality.
