beIN Sports app

beIN Sports is THE place for unlimited soccer and international sports. While it hasn't been around all that long, they've secured broadcast rights to a bunch of popular leagues. That being said, it's unfortunately not available on most streaming services - the only ways to currently watch it include: Fubo, Sling TV and YouTube TV. The only free way to watch beIN Sports is during a trial period, currently available for 7 days (Fubo and Sling). They have a solid dedicated app and it's the best way catch matches that recently aired (On Demand). Let's review all the important details...

Even though they're not related in any way, beIN and Fubo are really the perfect match. Fubo started out as a soccer and sports streamer and while its current lineup is suitable for everyone, it still has more sports than just about any OTT provider. Even better for beIN fans, Fubo includes 10 beIN channels: beIN Sports 1-8 and beIN SPORTS Xtra. That's ALL the beIN programming and more than any other streaming provider. They're found in all four of Fubo's plans, with beIN Sports en Español beIN SPORTS Xtra en Español an added bonus for subscribers to the Latino plan.

Here's a closer look at Fubo's three English plans and one Spanish plan:

For most soccer fans, especially Spanish-speakers, the Latino plan is probably your best option. It's the cheapest and includes all the beIN channels. If you want more movies and news, upgrade to the Pro package and get three times as many channels for just $47 more per month. Overall, Fubo is our unqualified pick for getting beIN. They offer a variety of plans and each includes the full suite of beIN channels. With a 7-day free trial, it's an easy way to give the service a try before committing any actual money.

Sling TV Program Guide Visit Sling

Sling TV is the leanest and most inexpensive way to get beIN Sports. They don't have a full lineup like other providers (32 channels on each plan) so it's not a true substitute for cable but you still get a bunch of popular channels including beIN Sports (USA). beIN is only available in the Sling Latino add-on pack ($10/mo for 22 channels). You can't get it on it's own so you'll need at least one other channel pack to qualify for it. The cheapest option is to combine it with the other Spanish pack, Sling México ($10/mo for 9 channels). That'll bring the total to $15/mo ($5 bundling discount). If you want an English plan, the Orange or Blue plan goes for $40/mo.

Sling is a great skinny bundle option when you want just the basics. There's absolutely no filler or low-value channels here. Find which Sling packs include the channels you want and add them to your account. With beIN Sports, it's a simple manner of combining Sling Latino with any other channel pack (English or Spanish). Their prices are very fair and while just a bit more expensive than Fubo (after the 1st-month discount), it's a solid option for most.

beIN Sports on YoutubeTV

beIN Sports on YouTubeTV

YouTube TV is Google's streaming service and has a relatively full set of channels. It doesn't have beIN in its core plan, you'll need to add the Sports Plus add-on pack to the core plan. Sports Plan goes for $10.99/mo and delivers 15 channels (NFL RedZone, Outside, Stadium, Tennis Channel, Fight Network, Impact Wrestling and more). You'll also get beIN's sister channel, beIN SPORTS XTRA. Overall, this is sort of a pricey way of getting beIN but if you're already a YouTube TV subscriber, it's usually worth adding the Sports Plan for however long you need it.

How to Watch beIN Sports for Free

While there's no free way to stream the actual beIN Sports channel, beIN does let you stream similar content for free. Called beIN XTRA, it features a mix of international sports (soccer, motor sports, polo, etc), news, analysis, previews and more. It won't broadcast any top matches but will give you a taste of what's playing on the primary beIN channels. Overall, it's a nice way to get a feel for beIN programming without committing to or paying for a provider. Visit beIN XTRA.

If/when you subscribe to a provider with beIN Sports, beIN XTRA is still a fun way to catch more obscure sporting events. The website is pretty user-friendly and the guide has the same look and feel as the rest of beIN's properties... so, you'll hit the ground running once you get beIN Sports proper.

Soccer leagues on beIN Sports

beIN Sports features all kinds of sports, especially on the futbol/soccer side. Some of the soccer leagues they have broadcast rights for include:

  • South America - Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, Recopa Sudamericana, Brasil Global Tour
  • European soccer - Ligue 1, Ligue 2, Trophée des Champions, Süper Lig
  • Handball - EHF Champions League
  • Pro wrestling - Major League Wrestling
  • Motorsports - FIM Speedway Grand Prix
  • Combat Sports - BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting

beIN used to also carry other European soccer leagues (Copa del Rey, La Liga, etc) and women's ATP tennis. Those broadcast rights are now expired. Still, Fubo has kept the rights for most of the larger leagues throughout South America and Europe.

Streaming services with or without beIN Sports

Unfortunately for sports fans, beIN Sports is only available on the three streaming providers we profiled above: Fubo, Sling and YouTubeTV. That's it. YouTube added beIN Sports not that long ago so it's possible new providers will get added to this list but for now, if you live in the U.S. and most parts of the world, you have three streaming options for beIN.

Devices that work with beIN Sports

beIN Sports has its own full and robust mobile app and it's quite good. In most versions, content is divided into the following categories: Scores, Videos (mostly On Demand), Live and Guide. The program guide is your default spot for all the action on TV right now and coming up. The "Scores" section filters everything down to just the sports scores. You can filter by sport and league (and manage your favorites). You can also catch beIN via your browser (we recommend Chrome) and standalone devices like Rokus, Amazon Fire, etc. Of all the ways, our personal favorite is via iOS (iPad in particular).

iOS and Android app ratings

Diving a bit deeper into their iOS and Android apps, they've been downloaded millions of times and generally have very good ratings. The iOS app is probably a bit more user-friendly and its rating of 4.6/5 (>40K reviews) reflects just that. Any relatively modern iOS device will run the app without much issue. On the Google side, the Android app is generally well-received as well. From over 97K reviews, it has a rating of 4.0/5. A few bugs here and there (especially with language-related issues) but it's pretty stable and user-friendly overall.

Similar channels to beIN Sports

Streaming beIN Sports

Being the flagship of beIN's network, beIN Sports has a bunch of sister channels. Some of them broadcast replays while others carry live events from various leagues. Let's quickly cover the basics of each...

  • beIN Sports 2-8 - these seven are mostly overflow channels that broadcast matches when they go past their estimated end times. For example, if a soccer match was scheduled to end at 1 PM and another start at the same time, if the first goes into extra time, beIN will often start the beginning of the second match on beIN Sports 2, etc. It will also broadcast full matches when multiple events have the same start time. The more popular match will air on beIN Sports and the less popular on the overflow channels.
  • beIN Sports XTRA - a 24/7, free network that gives you a taste of most of the programming on beIN. From league and match analysis to an archive of classic soccer matches, it's a great way to stay up-to-date. Premier and top-level matches won't air here but you'll get cool previews and a smattering of live action.
  • beIN Sports Connect - this is a standalone platform that essentially combines all the matches from all the beIN properties in one place.
